E-ON's participation with its RiskClima platform at FERMA Forum 2026, held from October 4 to 6 in Rotterdam, was a highly rewarding experience and an important opportunity to strengthen our presence in the European market.

At our booth, we had the opportunity to meet with Risk Managers from major European companies and corporate groups, as well as executives from insurance companies, to discuss the challenges that Climate Change poses to businesses and the growing need for reliable assessments of their exposure to physical climate risks.

The discussions focused particularly on the ability to quantify the financial impacts of Climate Change and use these insights to support informed business decisions regarding adaptation and risk mitigation measures, investment planning, and the strengthening of long-term business resilience.

RiskClima attracted considerable interest from visitors, who had the opportunity to explore the platform's capabilities and try it themselves by accessing the demo through the QR code displayed at our booth. This hands-on experience allowed them to see how scientific data and climate scenarios can be transformed into actionable business intelligence.

Our discussions with insurance industry executives were particularly encouraging, as we explored potential opportunities for collaboration in assessing exposure to climate risks. At the same time, our meetings with Risk Managers from major organizations opened up promising opportunities for the application of RiskClima across different business sectors.

We returned from Rotterdam with valuable experiences, important new connections, and optimism about the collaboration opportunities that emerged.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who visited us at Booth 129, discovered RiskClima, and shared their perspectives and concerns with us. We remain committed to making climate risk assessment and quantification more accessible, meaningful, and valuable for businesses, helping them better understand their exposure and make informed decisions for the future.

The RiskClima project was implemented within the framework of the program “Development of Digital Products and Services” of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0,” with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
